A personal practice

Based in Chennai
Working across South India

A good interior does not ask you to live differently. It pays attention to how you already live.

Raman approaches each project as an exercise in observation: how morning light moves, where conversations gather, what should be held onto, and what can quietly disappear. The result is contemporary without being impersonal—measured spaces with warmth, utility and room for character.

Scope of practice

What we can
shape together.

  1. 01

    Residential interiors

Apartments and villas, from spatial planning to final styling.

  2. 02

    Renovations

Thoughtful transformations that work with the strengths of an existing home.

  3. 03

    Space planning

Clear layouts that improve movement, storage, light and everyday use.

  4. 04

    Boutique commercial

Character-led cafés, studios and hospitality spaces at an intimate scale.

  5. 05

    Design consultation

Focused guidance on layouts, materials, lighting or a design direction.

The working rhythm

From first conversation
to a space that settles in.

  1. 01

    Listen

We begin with your routines, priorities, references and the realities of the site.

  2. 02

    Frame

The brief becomes a clear spatial direction, scope, budget and working rhythm.

  3. 03

    Shape

Layouts, materials and light are developed together—not as separate decisions.

  4. 04

    Resolve

Drawings and details translate the concept into choices people can build well.

  5. 05

    Settle

The final layer is edited in place so the space feels finished, not simply furnished.

In their words

Spaces remembered
for how they feel.

Raman understood that we wanted fewer things, but better decisions. Our home feels calmer and much more like us.
Meera & Arjun Apartment renovation, Adyar 01
The process was clear from the first conversation. Every material choice had a reason, and the space now works beautifully on busy days.
Nivedita S. Residential interior, Alwarpet 02
He brought warmth to a difficult layout without over-designing it. Guests notice the atmosphere before they notice any one object.
